Relaxation of Visa and Travel restrictions for Foreign Tourists
1. With significant improvement in COVID-19 situation in the country, Government of India has decided to ease restrictions on visa for foreign tourists as per details given below:
- All foreign nationals intending to visit India for tourism purposes will be allowed entry into India on e-Tourist Visa/Tourist Visa through chartered flights (group tourism only) from 15 October 2021.
- All individual foreign nationals entering India for tourism purposes by flights operated under Vande Bharat Mission, Air Bubble Scheme or by any scheduled/non-scheduled commercial flights as allowed by the Ministry of Civil Aviation, Government of India, would be allowed entry into India on e-Tourist Visa/Tourist Visa from 15 November 2021.
2. The above-mentioned relaxation will be applicable only on fresh single entry e-Tourist Visa/ Tourist Visa issued henceforth with a validity of 30 days.
3. Foreign nationals would be permitted entry into India by sea routes or by flights only.
4. All due protocols and norms relating to COVID-19 as notified by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India shall be adhered to by the foreign tourists.
