Relaxation of Visa and Travel restrictions for Foreign Tourists

1. With significant improvement in COVID-19 situation in the country, Government of India has decided to ease restrictions on visa for foreign tourists as per details given below:

All foreign nationals intending to visit India for tourism purposes will be allowed entry into India on e-Tourist Visa/Tourist Visa through chartered flights (group tourism only) from 15 October 2021.
All individual foreign nationals entering India for tourism purposes by flights operated under Vande Bharat Mission, Air Bubble Scheme or by any scheduled/non-scheduled commercial flights as allowed by the Ministry of Civil Aviation, Government of India, would be allowed entry into India on e-Tourist Visa/Tourist Visa from 15 November 2021.

2. The above-mentioned relaxation will be applicable only on fresh single entry e-Tourist Visa/ Tourist Visa issued henceforth with a validity of 30 days.

3. Foreign nationals would be permitted entry into India by sea routes or by flights only.

4. All due protocols and norms relating to COVID-19 as notified by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India shall be adhered to by the foreign tourists.
